How it works

A countdown shows on screen for the session length you set, with warnings at 10 and 5 minutes left.

An admin password (set on first run) is needed to change settings or extend a session -- nothing else to configure.

When time runs out, the app logs the current Windows user off automatically, ready for the next person.

For libraries & public computers

Auto-starts for every user who logs in, so public-access PCs give each visitor a fair, unattended session with no staff needed to watch the clock.

For parents at home

An "Admin: Stop Timer" button, protected by the same admin password, means a parent's own login is never timed -- only the accounts you choose to manage.

Support & privacy

Questions, bug reports, or feedback are welcome -- use the "Send a message" option inside the app, or email colin@coolin.co.uk directly.

Community PC Timer does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. Settings, logs, and the admin password stay on your own PC and are never transmitted anywhere. The only information that ever leaves your computer is what you choose to type into "Send a message" -- your name, email address, and message -- sent so a reply can be provided if needed.
